Chapter 2
If you want to read the Prologue and Chapter 1, they're actually the previous posts. So, read it first before reading Chapter 2 so you'll be able to understand the story. CHAPTER 2Tristin went down hastily to find a canteen or some place where she can buy food. She wondered at the big university. She belittled herself when she watched the towering buildings around her. She still cannot accept that she may refer herself as college student. She remembered the times in her High School where everything is ran by the popular cliques in school; she is one of those, of course. But now, she is a newbie, an outsider, maybe. She never felt like this before, a place where nobody knows her name. Tristin saw Starbucks and hastily went inside. The moment she smelled the aroma of coffee, her spirits uplifted. She went to the counter and bought a Venti Java Chip Frappucino and Strawberry Belgian Waffle. She was able to find a seat at the patio and decided to settle there. She observed her fellow college students and conceived that college may be fun. She took her phone and read some messages. Her father sent her one. Congratulating her that she is college already and wishing her all the best. She smiled and her yearning to go back home increased. She missed everything about home. She even missed her mother’s annoying talks. She wished she was home. “Excuse me, miss. Can I borrow one of the chairs?” A guy with blazing silver eyes asked her. “Sure.” Tristin replied. “Thanks.” The guy replied with a smile and reached for the chair. Tristin stared at him for awhile. She was pretty dazzled by his gray eyes. It was like silver coins shining brightly while gazing at her. She watched the guy carry the chair and went to his group. He sat next to a girl with long blonde hair. Tristin disregarded her ideas and continued thinking of home. Yet, it seems her interest is stolen by the young man who approached her to borrow one of the chairs. She took her cup and decided to wander around the campus Tristin found a place where she think she can rest and linger when she have no classes. It was at the back of the dormitory and a wide field of grass was lying. There benches found at the center and a couple of huts. Tristin went to one of the benches and she stopped abruptly when she noticed someone is calling her. “Excuse me, is this yours? I think you left it at your table.” It was the lad who dazzled her with his eyes. She transferred her gaze in his hand and discovered that she actually left her phone. “Oh, yes. It is mine. And thank you very much.” She said with her amiable smiles. “No problem.” He replied while starting to leave. Tristin was thinking if those things happened for a reason or it is mere coincidence. But she snubbed her thoughts and continued walking to the benches. It was already dark when Tristin finally decided to go back to her dormitory room. She wondered if there was anyone whom she knew studying here. Yet, the idea seemed ridiculous since most the people she knew in High School were going overseas to study or go to other colleges that does not need to have very high IQs. Being the Valedictorian, this university was her first choice. Aside from having high standards of education, it is also one of the prestigious private universities in the country. While walking back to her room, she met again the young man whom she liked. While staring at him, Tristin seems to recognize him. His face looked familiar and the way he walks. He reminded her of Chris. But, she disregarded this since Chris is in France and if he is Chris, his English won’t be that straight and the accent won’t be like it. “Is Chris’ eyes gray?” She asked herself. She remembered that it was shade of blue. She was too caught up with her thoughts that she didn’t realize that she was already in front of her room. She opened the door and went in. Chapters 3, 4, 5, and 6 are actually done. I haven't typed yet the Chapters 4, 5, and 6. They're still in the paper. And they look very dirty. ROFL. And, lastly, I will be posting Chapter 3 after I got back from CDO. Thanks for reading! Labels: Summer to Remember
