Chapter 11
The next morning, Stephen and Marie arrived from the masquerade ball. They reached the Mansion when Mary, Sebastian, and the Duke were having their breakfast.
“Good morning, Father.” Marie greeted and kissed his father.
Sebastian gazed at the beautiful lady wearing yellow muslin gown. Her chestnut hair was tied up and her eyes twinkled like the stars at night. She was undeniably attractive. Stephen sat next to Sebastian and greeted him. Sebastian nodded in reply.
Sebastian and Marie were on the study after the breakfast. “How was the masquerade ball, Marie?”
“It was wonderful.” Marie replied coldly.
“And now, he is talking to me?”, Marie thought.
Sebastian gulped and stood in front of her.
“Marie, I apologize for my ill behavior yesterday and the other night. I ask pardon of you.” Marie stared at him. He is deeply sorry for what he has done and his ill manners towards her. She nodded as she accepted his apology. Sebastian sat next to her and watched her read her book.
“Stop looking at me.” Marie demanded.
“Why? I like watching you.” Sebastian replied with a mischievous smile.
“Stop smiling like that.”
“Why? What’s wrong with my smile?”
“It is mischievous. And it is infectious.” She replied. “Which I like.” She added shyly.
Sebastian grinned and turned her to face him. He looked at her dazzling royal blue eyes and her face look so innocent and pure. He smiled at her and whispered huskily, “You are so beautiful. And I can’t tear my eyes from watching you.” Marie instantly blushed as he whispered it to her. Sebastian cupped her head and slowly swooped down to kiss her. He kissed her slowly, gently and ardently. He dragged his hand downwards and placed it on her hips. He pulled her towards him as he kissed her. He pulled away from her and rested his head at her forehead as he was catching his breath.
He placed his hand on her cheek and caressed her smooth cheek, while the other hand was holding her tightly to him. He kissed her again. And this time around, his kiss was more urgent and demanding. It was full of passion and desire. As their lips parted, Sebastian whispered achingly her name and planted small kisses in her lips. Marie nuzzled at his chest and her cheeks were warm and flushed. It was her first kiss after all.
Sebastian pulled her head to his chest and caressed her back. Marie nuzzled to him as he smelled her hair.
“Your hair smells fantastic.”
“Sebastian, stop complimenting me.” Sebastian chuckled and kissed her on her forehead. He tipped her chin and planted another kiss. He smiled at her and cuddled her.
“I am tired.” Marie said as she snuggled to his chest.
“I know.” Sebastian whispered.
He watched her try to sleep in his chest. He placed his arms around her shoulders and leaned back. “Have my shoulder as you pillow and sleep.” Marie nodded and smiled with her eyes closed. Sebastian kissed her on the forehead and murmured, “Sleep tight, princess.”
Marie smiled at the thought of him calling her a princess. She wanted her to be his princess. His princess. His Queen.
Sebastian observed her sleeping. He wanted her than any other. He wanted her to be his Princess and her Queen. He likes to wake up each morning with her in his bed, sleeping next to him. He loves her so much. And nothing else would matter as long as she is next to him.
“I love you.” Sebastian thought. He imagined there was an answer. He smiled at his innocence.
“I love you, too.” He heard. And he was sure it came from Marie.
