Chapter 14
The picnic was prepared very well by the Prince. He found a very nice place where he and Marie can relax and breathe the fresh air. The grass is very comfortable and lush. The view is very scenic and serene. This is the perfect picnic he has always imagined. Nature’s beauty, delicious food, great wine, and the love of his life.
“Sebastian, this is spectacular!” Marie exclaimed as she watched the place with awe. She ran to the luscious green grass and lied down at the cloth being laid. Sebastian ambled towards her and sat beside her. Sebastian moved the stray hair in Marie’s forehead, and swooped down to kiss her. It was passionate and meaningful. He kissed her deep and long to let her know how he loved her so.
As their lips parted, they caught their breaths and grinned at each other. Love is clearly seen in their eyes. And whoever can see it will never doubt they are madly enamored.
“Thank you.” Marie said, shyly yet her voice sounds she is sure.
“For what, princess?” Sebastian asked as she touched her cheeks and caressed her face and arms.
“For this, for you, for everything you’ve done.” Sebastian smiled and the blink of his eyes was sweet and full of appreciation, he kissed her forehead.
“It is all worth it.” And he kissed her again.
The two ate the food Sebastian brought for the picnic. The food was delightful. The wine was great. The two of them were fantastic.
Marie pulled the grape from its stem and fed it to Sebastian. Sebastian grinned at her charming gesture. He pulled her next to him, and they lied, watching the clouds.
“Sebastian,” Marie placed his head on his chest and caressed his chest with her finger. “When are you going back to Wales?” Sebastian stared blankly at the clouds and was astounded by her question. He has never thought of it recently.
He faced her and asked, “Do you want me to go?”
“No.” Marie replied curtly. “No, I don’t. I want you to stay here.” Sebastian smiled at her and touched her smooth velvety cheeks. He pulled her closer to him and smelled her fragrant hair. Marie embraced him and rested peacefully in his arms.
Sebastian and Marie went home late. The Duke knew about their plans and expected them to arrive late. When they arrive, the Mansion was quiet. Marie guessed that they are already sleeping, which they are actually. Thus, Sebastian brought Marie to her room and kissed her good night.
What other plans are there Sebastian will use to surprise her? Will it be wonderful like the picnic today? Or is it more magnificent?
Marie’s thought was clouded by this question. Yet, it made her squirm thinking Sebastian will surprise her with superb and astonishing places. She is the happiest lady in the world. And having Sebastian by her side, she couldn’t ask for more.
Sebastian loved her more than any woman he has ever met in his entire life. He was sure, she is his princess.
