Chapter 1
Summer to Remember
Tristin Aarons cannot forget the Summer she had three years ago. Especially Chris. Now, she is going to college, will her memories start to fade or the summer's memories will find it's way to be remembered... If you want to read the prologue, it is the previous post.Chapter OneTristin was preparing for her luggage when she accidentally saw the album where she kept her memories. It was three years ago, when Tristin had her summer holiday in Southern France with her Grandparents. “It is a summer holiday to remember” she thought. It was also what Chris said to her before they had their goodbyes. While she was browsing, she recognized one photo. It was where she sat in a swing. The swing specially made by Chris for her. That photo flooded her with thoughts of the summer. She wished she could go back there and spend time with her friend. She smiled while scanning the photos. She couldn’t deny that tears made her eyes damp. “Tri, come down. The car’s waiting for you.” “Yes, mother.” She hurriedly placed the album to her luggage. She grabbed her Laptop and placed it to one of her luggage. She seized her iPod and phone, and directly went downstairs. Her mother was more anxious than she is. “Tri, come on. You will be late.” Her mother pleaded. “Mother, there are no classes yet. And, I am the one who is going to college, not you. Don’t be too edgy.” “I am not edgy!” Tristin rolled her eyes and grinned silently to herself. Tristin waved to goodbye to her mother and her father. She stepped into the car and breathed deeply. She was pretty worried too. “Like my mother”, she thought. Ever since, she was always compared to her mother. She resembled the beautiful chiseled face of her mother and her mother’s body contours. Yet, her eyes resembled her father’s, deep blue, making her face bright and amiable. As she was thinking of her similarities she had with her parents made her miss them. It was only a couple of minutes after she left, yet leaving made a dramatic effect on her. She yearned to be back to her house, to her room. But, there is no turning back for her. She needed to go to college. “Luke, would it take long to go to the University?” Tristin asked. “It takes about an hour, Miss. But seeing this traffic, it might take long.” Luke replied politely. “Well, then. I might as well take a nap. Wake me up when we arrive.” “Yes, Miss.” Tristin glanced through traffic and sighed. “This will be a long journey”, she mumbled. She took her iPod from her bag and tried to sleep. She easily dozed off. She was pretty tired preparing her luggage last night and she slept late, too. An hour and a half later, Tristin woke up. It was bright afternoon already. And the towering buildings of the university scared her; she thought she was having nightmares. “Miss, we have arrived.” Her driver said softly. “Oh, yes. I just woke up a couple of minutes ago.” She replied. She hastily took her brush and disentangled the knots of her hair. She put on some powder so she would look fresh. The driver opened the car door for her. She gazed her new school. And her new home, eventually. She took her baggage from the car and asked the driver to help her bring her things to her room. It took about thirty minutes to take her things to the room since her room was located at the end of the floor. She thanked the driver and asked him to leave. She eyed her room and immediately concluded that this is a start of new life. Her dormitory room was small compared to her room. It is quite bigger, though, than her step-in closet. The good thing is she won’t share a room with someone. The room would be too crowded, then. Tristin slowly unpacked her baggage and put her clothes in the cabinet placed near the door. The cabinet was pretty small, and just enough to put all her clothes. She wondered how she will place her new dresses when she buys one. But, she ignored that idea immediately since there are more things to do. She should not be occupied with little matters, as of the moment. She arranged her clothes in a proper manner. She placed her books, Laptop, and daily planner to the study located near the window. She put the covers of the bed and after an hour, she finished the tasks she is supposed to do. She took her phone and called her parents. “Hello Father. I just finished unpacking my stuff. I will be changing, then. Unpacking my things is exhausting. So, I will find somewhere to eat because I am pretty hungry too.” “Okay. Hope you will enjoy your college, sweetie.” “Thanks, Father. Send my regards to Mother.” “Yes, of course.” “Bye, Father” “Bye, Tristin.” Tristin hung up the phone and changed her clothes. She took her wallet and left her room. Chapters 2 and 3 are done. But I will not post them yet. Next time maybe. I don't want to post many things right away. Labels: Summer to Remember
