Prologue
“Father, I would like to stay in Devon with our dearest relative. It would be pleasant to stay in a quite place for awhile.” “Of course, you may leave whenever you please.” “Thank you, Father.” The Prince kissed the forehead of his father and went immediately to his bedchamber. The Prince of Wales, Sebastian, wants to escape the rumor-filled city of Wales. Our prince has been the center of the scandals, and the people doubt if he would actually deserve the title. He needed to avoid the rumors for a couple of months and be back to the town where the people already forgot about the scandals. He actually hated these rumors since almost all of it is true. Sebastian wrote a letter to his dear cousin, Stephen, that he will be visiting him this year. He would like to go to Devon and stay there for a couple of months. He needed privacy and it is the only area where he can fully attain it. Sebastian wrote in the letter that he is hoping he would consider his request and he would be able to reply immediately. After writing his letter, Sebastian summoned his valet and gave to him the letter and ordered to send it as soon as possible. “If there are any replies received from Devon, please give it to me immediately.” He instructed and went back to his bedchamber. Sebastian received a reply after two days telling him that he can visit to Devon. But his cousin, Stephen, is staying at Cornwall with the Duke and his comrades. The letter said that he may stay in Cornwall and the Duke is happy to oblige to meet him and welcome him at his mansion. Sebastian told his father about the letter and he wished to stay at the Cornwall, with his cousin, and meet the Duke of Cornwall. The King gladly agreed with his son’s wishes and desired that he may enjoy his leave. The Prince returned to his bedchamber and ordered the valet to pack his clothes because he will leave the city tomorrow. The Prince was excited about the whole trip and may he find comfort in Cornwall. I think the chapters of this story are shorter compared to Summer to Remember. So, deal with it. I guess. Haha.
