Chapter 27
“How are you, Marie?” The King asked.
Marie smiled at the King and replied, “I am fine, Your Majesty.” She, then, turned her gaze to Sebastian who is studying her with a smile.
Marie was sure he remembered what happened last night. The time they spent on the porch. It was romantic and memorable. Marie will never forget what happened. It’s worth remembering, she concluded.
“Oh, that is good.” The King said. Marie beamed at him.
The breakfast was filled by the chats of the King and the Duke. They shared their different opinions on how to run estates. They didn’t observe their children, who are already exchanging affectionate glances and sweet smiles. Sebastian was staring Marie with interesting eyes. Marie kept her head low. She was intimidated by Sebastian’s stares. In a good way, of course.
The second Marie stood, Sebastian stood up too. Marie went to out of the Mansion to have her early walks. She knew Sebastian was following her nearby. She can hear the echoing footsteps, it was heavy and audible. Marie halted and turned around to check on him. He stopped, as well, his hands on his pockets, head low, teasing eyes on her. Marie giggled at him and continued walking. Sebastian followed her still.
Marie stopped again and turned around. Sebastian was no longer there. She was saddened, but she should be happy. At least, no one will be stalking her. Why is she feeling down?
Marie lowered her head and was about to turn around. She was held by a firm hand on her arm and a hand tipped her chin.
It was Sebastian.
He was beaming down at her. Marie just realized how tall he is. He’s eyes were shining brightly. It was mocking her, as well.
“I thought you left.” Marie said softly.
His smile widened. He caressed her cheeks and whispered hoarsely, “My dear Marie, I will never leave you alone.”
The way Sebastian said it almost knocked off Marie’s feet. Good thing Sebastian was holding her tightly in his arms. Marie will never lose her balance.
Marie watched his eyes and saw that his words were true. A slight curve on her lips brought Sebastian on his knees. He can no longer control himself. He lowered his face to hers and kissed her fervently. Sparks filled all of their bodies. Their kiss bonded them together, and no matter what happens they will never be again separated.
Sebastian moved his lips slowly on hers. Inviting and asking her to kiss him back. She responded instantly and Sebastian moaned. Her response was absolute satisfaction. He kissed her more. He asked for more. He needed it. He was hungry for it. He moved his lips like the way she does. He found the rhythm. It was perfect. Earthly paradise.
After pulling himself from the kiss, he planted light kisses on her forehead and whispered softly. Even Marie couldn’t understand what he is saying, but it no longer mattered. As long as she is in his arms, nothing else really matters.
“I love you, Marie. I always did.” Sebastian whispered huskily.
Marie nuzzled at his chest and replied softly, “I do, too.”
