Chapter 12
A few days passed and the bond of the couple is stronger than anyone can imagine. They are open and happy. Their love is so blooming and blissful. The time they spent together is way better they had before. Everyday, they recollected the memories they had and laughed at each other’s foolishness and silliness. Their day ended having dinner together and most importantly, a kiss. Everything’s seem so perfect between the two of them and they wished it’ll continue. Tristin went early to her class. She told Chris that they won’t be going out today because she has a lot of things to do and home works. Chris actually asked her if she needed any help and he’ll be glad to offer it to her, but Tristin declined, knowing that Chris also have tons of things to do. Tristin’s classes for a day were exhausting. All her energy is sucked up and she is worried how she will make her school works. She decided to go to her room because if she will be going to the library, she might end with Chris and transpire in not finishing her works. She hastily went to her room and finished her work. Chris missed Tristin because he was used in seeing her every afternoon in the library and study with her. But now, she isn’t around. He knew ahead that she won’t be coming but the fact that she isn’t there is terrible. He felt lonely and isolated. He decided to finish all his work and go to Tristin’s dorm room. Chris was right. The moment he finished doing his work, he went to Starbucks, bought coffee and sandwiches, and went to Tristin’s room. She was there, and she looked really tired and wearied. “Oh, thanks Chris. I really need to eat, I am hungry!” Tristin groaned when she saw Chris on her doorstep. “My pleasure.” He said and kissed her. “Are you done?” Chris asked as he checked her laptop. “No! I think I won’t be able to finish it.” Tristin said. “I’ll do it.” Chris said as he sat on her chair. “No! I want to do it. If you want to help me, just highlight things from my book and I’ll do it, then.” She insisted. Chris looked at her and she was serious about it. “Fine.” Chris agreed and took her book with him and sat next to her. “But I’ll eat first.” Tristin added. Chris grinned at her and kissed her in the forehead and started highlighting her book. Tristin’s work ended fast and she is very grateful to Chris. She promised him that she will go out with him this weekend as a thanksgiving for helping her out with her school works. “Can you make it a month?!” Chris squealed as he motioned towards her. Tristin smiled and replied mockingly, “I’ll think about it.” Chris looked at her and pulled her towards him. He rested her head in his chest, and put her arms around him. “Please.” He whispered softly in her ears. Tristin leaned to his chest to his heartbeat. Hearing it and realizing that their hearts beat together she replied him with a sweet nod of her. Chris embraced her more tightly and rested his head on hers. He smelled the sweet scent of her and breathed it so he’ll be able to remember her scent wherever he goes. That simple gesture shows how affectionate he is with her. He concluded that everything in the world is fine as long as she is standing next to him and being in his embrace. Chris kissed her in forehead and bid goodbye. He left her with a good memory of today. He was happy leaving her because he knew that her school works are done, and without him, she might be still doing it. Chris went back to his room. As soon as he arrived, he changed his clothes and went directly to bed. He was tired and exhausted, and being able to sleep is the only cure. Labels: Chapter 12, Summer to Remember
